News Updates
Our commitment to education is rooted in Mona’s history as a special education teacher, an administrator, and parents.

We are creating new scholarship opportunities at the college level for young adults entering the fields of education and healthcare.

Kobonal Scholarships
This project will provide scholarships for 480 financially struggling students to attend secondary school in Kobonal, a rural village in the Catholic Diocese of Hinche, in Haiti’s Central Plateau. In addition, the project will provide 20 scholarships for university students. Through this program, we hope to equip Haiti’s youth to rise out of poverty and become capable and virtuous providers for their families.

Our partner on this project is Father Glenn Meaux. His Kobonal Haiti Mission nurtures the minds, bodies, and souls of poor, rural Haitians. Founded in 1989, the Mission now depends on Cross Catholic Outreach for all fundraising activities.

$66,000 is needed to cover tuition for 500 needy students scholarships. The Mission is committed to not only equipping these children with a quality primary school experience but also helping them continue their education after they graduate.
