This themed trivia fundraiser is held annually in partnership with The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. All proceeds from the event will support our inner-city school food pantry program and the food backpack program in our area. In our first year, we raised over $22,000.

Calling all designers!
Coastal Connection is looking for a poster design for the 2023 the Droids & Dragons trivia night fundraiser. The best part? There’s a $500 prize for the winning design!

We’ll announce our winner on the Coastal Connection Facebook page on October 27, 2022.

Poster Specs: 11”x17”, 4-color, with bleed
Event Title: Droids & Dragons Trivia

The purpose of the contest is to design a logo for the Droids and Dragons Trivia event, hosted by Coastal Connection and the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. The trivia at this event is sci-fi/fantasy themed. The poster may be used in small and large media formats – including online, print, on merchandise, and other visual collateral.

Proceeds from this event benefit local food pantries and backpack programs.

Official Contest Rules:
Following are the official contest rules:
  • The contest is open to all designers, including students.
  • Individuals may submit no more than two (2) entries (a separate Entry Form must accompany each submission).
  • All submitted work must be the original work of the entrant(s) and must not include, be based on, or derived from any pre-existing or third-party designs, trademarks, or copyrighted images.
  • All entries will become the property of Coastal Connection. By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees that any and all intellectual property rights in the design are deemed assigned to Coastal Connection.
  • Except where prohibited by law, an entry submission into this contest constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, likeness, prize information, and information provided on the entry form for publicity purposes, without further permission.
  • Coastal Connection reserves the right to modify the winning design as needed to fit the needs of the event.
  • The decisions of the Selection Committee will be final.
The selected winner MUST submit a scalable vector version of the winning design so that it is adaptable to electronic and print media, to reproduction on small and large surfaces, and to use in color or in grayscale.
